Abstract

The Armenian community and parish in Chisinau were among the most significant segments of this denomination in Bessarabia, having been, in many cases, at the forefront of spiritual or cultural life. The article focuses on a number of issues related with the emergence of the Armenian Church in Chisinau, as well as the demographic evolution of this element. The research also touches upon the problem of functioning of the two essential tools of a parish - the church and the school.
